"Rewriting the Code of Life with CRISPR Technology", Samuel H. Sternberg, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics Sam is a protein-RNA biochemist and CRISPR expert, and he is the co-author, along with Jennifer Doudna, of A Crack in Creation, a popular science book about the discovery, development, and applications of CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology. He is actively involved in public discussions on the ethical issues surrounding genome editing of human cells. Tuesday Talks are scheduled on the Morningside campus on alternate Tuesdays during the academic year. EPIC members, faculty, and invited guests speak on topics that range across the academic spectrum and also address issues of particular importance to the retired academic community. Lunch will be served. Guests are welcome.
