Make Music with Emeritus Professors in Columbia (EPIC) and the EPIC Chamber Music Players!
Do you have a passion for playing a musical instrument? Would you like to play chamber music with other talented EPIC members? Look no further! Pianists Carolyn Greenberg and Steve Stellman are pleased to announce “A Day of Chamber Music.”
Coffee and snacks will be available starting at 9:30 am and throughout the day. Music will begin at 10:00. We reserved several rooms in Philosophy Hall for this special musical gathering. We will also provide lunch to enjoy.
If you would like to participate, please let us know the instrument you play and any specific repertoire you would like to perform. We will do our best to match musicians with each other and with appropriate music (which we will provide). We'll also provide access to a shared Google Drive where you can upload and download favorite scores. Thousands of additional scores and instrumental parts are available free at www.IMSLP.org.
Last Fall our chamber music session drew about 20 string and woodwind players who played ensembles ranging from Mozart trios, Brandenburg Concerto, to the Beethoven Op. 20 Septet.
Please RSVP by Friday, November 7 with your personal music details and any suggestions for music you would like to play by emailing us at [email protected]. You may also email questions and comments about the music to [email protected]. We will pass them along to Carolyn and Steve who will reply to you.
