Make Music with Emeritus Professors in Columbia (EPIC) – Join Us for an EPIC Musicale!
Do you have a passion for playing a musical instrument? Would you like to experience the joy of creating beautiful chamber music ensembles with other talented EPIC members? Look no further! Pianists Carolyn Greenberg and Steve Stellman are thrilled to announce “A Day of Chamber Music.”
Date: Sunday, December 3
Time: 9 am–3 pm
Location: Philosophy Hall, Columbia University
We have reserved three rooms in Philosophy Hall for this special musical gathering. To keep your energy up, we’ll also provide a lunch to enjoy.
If you’d like to participate, please let us know the instrument you play and any specific repertoire you’d like to perform. We will do our best to match musicians and create harmonious combinations. We’ll provide access to a shared Google Drive where you can upload and download your favorite scores. You’ll also find thousands of scores and instrumental parts available for free on IMSLP.
In 2019, before the era of COVID, we hosted an immensely successful musicale that drew together around two dozen string, woodwind, and brass players. The event featured a variety of ensembles, from duets to the grand Schumann piano quintet.
Please RSVP with your personal music details by emailing us at [email protected].
You may also email questions and comments about the music to [email protected]. We will pass them along to Carolyn and Steve who will reply to you.
