Join us for a talk by Professor Andrew Gelman, Higgins Professor of Statistics, Professor of Political Science, and Director of the Applied Statistics Center at Columbia University. In this session, Professor Gelman will trace the development of political polling and election forecasting, offering insights into the successes, limitations, and evolving methods that shape how we understand voter behavior and predict electoral outcomes. A leading figure in both statistics and political science, Professor Gelman’s wide-ranging research spans topics from voting behavior and campaign polling to redistricting, public policy, and statistical methodology.
