EPIC Book Club

The EPIC Book Club brings together members who share a love of reading and thoughtful conversation. Meeting monthly via Zoom, the Book Club offers intellectual exchange, discovery, and community, connecting EPIC members wherever they may live. It is shaped by its members. Participants are encouraged to suggest future titles, help determine how selections are made, and volunteer to lead discussions.

We hope for eclectic reading selections, spanning both fiction and nonfiction and drawing from a wide range of subjects, genres, cultures, and historical periods. The goal is to foster good reading and lively discussions, encouraging new perspectives and meaningful dialogue. In the first meeting, Wednesday September 9 at 8 pm EDT, Professor Peter Strauss will lead a discussion of Daniel Mason’s The Winter Soldier, a novel set during the First World War that combines history, romance, war, and medicine.
