Ted Ruthizer

Ted Ruthizer holds a JD from Columbia Law School ’72. He is a former Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School, where he taught a seminar on immigration law and policy for 20 years (1995–2015). He is a former President and General Counsel of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ted was a partner and chair of the Business Immigration Group at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP for many years, until his retirement in 2020. He has written law review articles and has spoken throughout the U.S. and abroad on immigration law developments. In 2017 he was a visiting professor of law at Reichman University in Israel.

Ted and his wife Jane Denkensohn have resided for many years on the Upper West Side and in the Hudson River hamlet of Barrytown in the Town of Red Hook.
